We are now in Perth ( Darlington ). We are staying with friends that live in the hills. Our friends have a cute 7 month old baby, Felix and an 8 year old, Lukas.

Viking Chess
For Easter we had an Easter egg hunt. We also had a traditional German breakfast and roasted duck for dinner. It was yum! Yesterday, we went to Scarborough Beach. There we swam in the Indian Ocean and played viking chess.

Esperance

I am now in Esperance. Here there is a resident sea lion, Sammy, who visits the bay every morning.
He is a real poser. This morning I went on the ministeam express which is a small train that tours the local park on weekends and school holidays. Today is the first day of school holidays for the children in W.A, so I am very lucky to have had a ride. The tickets costed $2 and they even punched holes in the tickets. Yesterday I visited Cape Le Grange National Park. Here my family went out and explored Lucky Bay in our portable boat. The sand there was very fine and pure white.

Three States In One Day

Today we had breakfast in New South Wales, morning tea in Victoria and lunch in South Australia. We often associate land with plants. For example, I remember seeing lots of sugar cane in Queensland. On this trip I have seen lots of saltbush.

Today, we visited the boot and undie trees in South Australia. These trees are on the highway between Morgan and Burra. Many people throw boots and undies into the trees. They have become rather odd tourist attractions.

We are approximately one third of the way to Perth.
